Back to the Garden: the 2023 Grace Hudson Museum Gala
Join us for the Grace Hudson Museum's biggest and most festive fundraiser of the year. All proceeds from this event will support Museum exhibitions, public programs, education outreach, collections care, and upkeep of Grace Hudson's historic home and studio, the Sun House.
The theme for this year’s Gala, Back to the Garden, is tied to our hugely popular summer/fall exhibition, Something's Happening Here, which explores the legacy and impact of the Back to the Land Movement in Mendocino County (late 1960s to early 1980s) through the lens of art made by back-to-landers. Guests to our Gala will enjoy live and silent auctions, splendid food, plentiful libations, and the company of old and new friends. We are delighted this year to welcome back retired Mendocino County sheriff Tom Allman as our auctioneer. And we are equally excited that our caterer will be Ellery Clark, whose parents were authentic back-to-landers. Ellery’s culinary philosophy is rooted firmly in sustainable farming practices and locally-sourced ingredients.
